Just like playground bullies, online trolls need to be stood up to and stamped out. If, for no other reason, for a kinder, more tolerant society, where everyone’s views can be heard and debated without fear. And a place where fresh ideas, discussed reasonably, can thrive and grow - to the improvement of all.

Some of the quirkiest places make the most fun to eat out. Take The Old Prison on the edge of Northleach.
If you have kids in tow, you’ll have many questions to answer about dungeons and what happened to old prisoners. You’ll also have plenty of space for them to run around on the grass outside and intriguing old carts and farming equipment for them to wonder over and carefully choose their favourite.
The Painswick is an undeniably pretty boutique hotel. From the beautiful building it stands in, to the stylish restaurant, lounges and bars.
Inside the beautiful historic hotel, the welcome (after temperature scans) was very warm indeed. We were offered chilled glasses of water while we waited to be seated in the stunning dining room.
From a bench on the bank, you can watch the river and people watch hikers, bikers and horse riders trotting across the bridge, while planning or relaxing after your riverside wander at the glorious The Culm Valley Inn
The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie is the sort of space usually reserved for something of a special occasion. It’s top of the list for many friends’ birthday celebrations.

Now the food and joyous sense of freedom of eating out while overlooking the glittering lido is more precious than ever.
With its elegant pier, Poet’s Walk along the cliffs, outdoor pool and clutch of independent shops, Clevedon in Somerset has plenty of charms.
With grand pillars, formal gardens, an orangery and gold-domed church overlooking a lake, not to mention one of the most beautiful fountains I’ve ever set eyes on, Witley Court in Worcestershire a vision of ghostly grandeur.
